Why we feature this artist
A vocal phrase with a long trance afterlife
Foggy's Come... (Into My Dream) catches an early-2000s dance ideal: a clear vocal invitation suspended over a production that keeps building towards its next melodic release. The project is best heard through the original recordings and their many distinct arrangements, where one song becomes material for different kinds of DJ set.
The first version and the early catalogue
Come... (Into My Dream) appeared in 2001, with a release package separating radio cuts, extended club versions and alternative mixes. The song's identity rests on a short, readily understood vocal line and the lift supplied by the surrounding electronic arrangement. A compact edit can make the refrain arrive almost immediately; a longer mix can use the same material to sustain a gradual rise.
Take the Future followed in 2002, with Your Eyes extending the early catalogue in 2003. These recordings belong to the same melodic dance environment, where a single could exist in several useful forms without one version making the others redundant. The remix credits are part of that history. Pulsedriver and Aurora UK appear among the names connected to the earlier circulation of Come... (Into My Dream), each changing the setting in which the vocal is heard.
Why the refrain kept returning
The title acquired further editions long after its first release, including a 2016 version and a 2018 remix campaign through Pulsive. eSquire, Klaas, CJ Stone and Martin Roth offered later routes through the material. That continued activity is most interesting when the versions are heard as interpretations rather than a single undifferentiated recording. Different drums, speeds and amounts of space alter the sense of expectation around the same phrase. The durable element is the writing's directness: the listener knows where the melody wants to go, even when the producer changes the journey. Foggy's strongest catalogue connection is therefore a song with an unusually long working life, one that could be adjusted for new dance-floor settings while keeping its central invitation recognisable.
