Why we feature this artist

Two familiar Eurodance voices in a new 2010 recording

Ray & Anita brought a recognisable vocal partnership back into focus with In Da Name of Love. Ray Slijngaard’s rap and Anita Doth’s singing had been central to the early 2 Unlimited records. The new credit put their own names at the front, giving the 2010 single a direct connection to that shared performance history.

The return under their own names

In Da Name of Love appeared through Spinnin’ in 2010. The Dutch Top 40 documents both performers among the writers, alongside Robin Morssink and Jan van der Toorn, who produced the recording. The single reached number six in that chart, reconnecting the vocal pairing with a contemporary dance release.

The arrangement keeps the distinction between their roles clear. The rap provides a clipped, outward-facing energy, while Anita’s melodic line opens the song into a broader refrain. That exchange recalls the practical strength of their earlier partnership without requiring the new track to replay one specific nineties hit.

A short chapter with its own records

The single was issued in radio and extended forms, making the same vocal relationship work at different lengths. Nothing 2 Lose followed in 2011, with a remix package that included Chew Fu and the Dutchables. Together, the releases establish a brief catalogue under the Ray & Anita name.

The interest lies in hearing how familiar voices respond to a changed production environment. The electronic sounds and rhythmic weight belong to the later recording period, but the handover between rapper and singer is immediately legible. Their performance makes the connection to the earlier records more tangible than a recreated synth sound or an old chorus alone could do.
